“Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour” is a theatrical production administrated by Cirque du Soleil. Cirque du Soleil ("Circus of the Sun") is an entertainment company based on Canada, self-announced as a "dramatic mix of circus arts and street entertainment” which exercises the vision and music of Michael Jackson next to Cirque du Soleil's signature acrobatic presentation style to generate a sensible concert practice.
Cirque du Soleil and Michael Jackson's estate announced the progress of “The Immortal World Tour” through Michael Jackson's official website on November 2, 2010. In a press release, the group stated, "A exciting combination of music, visuals, and dance fantasy that submerge viewers in Michael’s artistic world and factually rolls his signature moves upside down, “Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour” spread out Michael Jackson’s creativity previous to the eyes of the audience. Aimed at enduring fans and those experiencing Michael’s creative intelligence as a fresher, the show imprisons the spirit, soul and encouragement of the immortal Pop king, celebrating an inheritance that continues toward transcend generations".
The ground show which is very alike to a rock concert began its trip on early stated date in Montreal “Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour” is on tour in North America. Later than its North American schedule for about two years, it will carry on to Europe with the rest of the world.
A local show which might be further theatrical in character will open in early 2013 when the tour make its last on North America, at the Mandalay Bay Resort in addition to Casino located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Besides the local show at the Mandalay Bay, a Michael Jackson-stirred lounge and a gift shop with memorabilia will also be opened up by Cirque du Soleil.
