Cirque du Soleil Dralion

Cirque du Soleil is a popular Canadian touring and entertainment company. It’s credited for many breathtaking global stage performances in different countries like Canada, USA, UK, etc. The Dralion is just one of its numerous stage productions and is the 12th in the company’s sequel produced to date. In general, it’s a combined production whose performance elements draw a lot from Chinese acrobatics and western contemporary circus performance acts. Because of these western circus and eastern/ Chinese acrobatic acts, the Dralion completely blends Cirque du Soleil’s “East-meets-West" theme.

Theoretically, Dralion simply refers to dragon for the eastern parts of the world and lion for the west. This combination is made live with steel caricatures of steel that are modeled to represent old eastern temples, eastern catwalks and space for acrobatic equipment. Once these sets are created, the performers then start the rehearsed performances.

As an acrobatic performance that encompasses both eastern and western acrobatic ideologies, some of the acts displayed by Dralion include singlehanded balancing, bamboo poles, juggling, Trampoline, Chinese lion dance-like dances, aerial hoops, spirits (gravity defying ballet dances), skipping ropes, hoop diving and Aerial pas de deux where couples aerial dance in silks.

Apart from the mentioned acts, the Dralion is not complete without elements of music and special costumes. The show’s costumes are specially designed from special materials that have been imported from Africa, China and India. Its been reported that one Dralion performance can have as much as 1500 costumes with some acts having as many as 4 costumes per show. As for the music, the blend is a contemporary fushion of western acoustics and some electrical drawn from the sound of drums, violins, keyboards, winds, guitars and percussion instruments.

Cirque du Soleil: “Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour”

 “Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour” is a theatrical production administrated by Cirque du Soleil. Cirque du Soleil ("Circus of the Sun") is an entertainment company based on Canada, self-announced as a "dramatic mix of circus arts and street entertainment” which exercises the vision and music of Michael Jackson next to Cirque du Soleil's signature acrobatic presentation style to generate a sensible concert practice.

 Cirque du Soleil and Michael Jackson's estate announced the progress of “The Immortal World Tour” through Michael Jackson's official website on November 2, 2010. In a press release, the group stated, "A exciting combination of music, visuals, and dance fantasy that submerge viewers in Michael’s artistic world and factually rolls his signature moves upside down, “Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour” spread out Michael Jackson’s creativity previous to the eyes of the audience. Aimed at enduring fans and those experiencing Michael’s creative intelligence as a fresher, the show imprisons the spirit, soul and encouragement of the immortal Pop king, celebrating an inheritance that continues toward transcend generations".

The ground show which is very alike to a rock concert began its trip on early stated date in Montreal “Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour” is on tour in North America. Later than its North American schedule for about two years, it will carry on to Europe with the rest of the world.

A local show which might be further theatrical in character will open in early 2013 when the tour make its last on North America, at the Mandalay Bay Resort in addition to Casino located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Life and Times of Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Springsteen was born in 1949. He is an American singer and songwriter who popularly known as the boss by his fans. Bruce has a capacity to play a variety of instruments. He is a member of E Street Band.
Some of his most successful albums include: Born to Run and Born in the USA. Bruce Springsteen has sold more than 65 million albums in USA alone. Globally, he has sold a net of over 120 million. Bruce grew up in New Jersey where he attended high school in Freehold Borough High School His Grandfather Douglas Fredrick has Dutch and Irish blood flowing in his veins. His mother Adele Ann worked as a secretary in the law office. She had her origins in Italy.

His most recent album was released in 2012 in the French capital, Paris. Most of his rock music has a Roman Catholic touch. He has borrowed some of his style from the Roman Catholic hymns.   This is because he attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic School.

Like many successful people all over the world Bruce attended Ocean County College before dropping out later on. He was inspired by the great names like Elvis Presley. He started singing at the age of 7 years old. His mother played a great part in promoting his talent by buying him his first guitar.

At the age of 18, Bruce narrowly escaped the possibility of serving in the Vietnam War because the medical examination showed that he was unfit to serve in the armed forces. Springsteen received his nickname “The Boss” during the late 1960’s while he was a member of a singing group called Earth. This name was given to him because after performing in one night, he was the one who collected the pay and then divided it among the band members.

Barry Manilow

On 17 June, 1943 Barry Manilow was born as Barry Alan Pincus, in Brooklyn. Barry’s father left the family when he was a child of only two. Respect and love might be the reason, since Barry chose Manilow, as his surname, which was actually his mother’s last name. even as a little boy of seven, Barry played piano and accordion exceptionally well. After high school Barry joined the well known Julliard School of music. For quite some time Barry earned his living by writing and singing for advertisements for some high profile ad campaigns

Barry’s career took a positive turn when he started working for Bette Midler as pianist and music director. He was the mastermind behind her first two albums. Barry performed for the first time at Bette Midler show in Carnegie Hall in 1972. Due to her, Barry also managed to sign his first record contract. In 1973 Barry’s first album hit the market, which unfortunately didn’t receive a very good response.

Barry hit success with his song “Mandy” in 1974. His success lasted almost the remaining 70’s and beginning of 80’s. Even though Barry was a songwriter but most of his songs which hit the top ten charts were not written by him.

“Mandy," "Tryin’ to Get the Feeling Again", "Weekend in New England ",Looks Like We Made It”, “are some of the songs which were highly successful but off course not written by him.

The glittering star began experiencing downfall in 1979. His songs started to show signs of weak composing and loopholes in the music. “I Made It Through the Rain” was the last song that hit the top ten chart. After that Barry remained popular with his concerts that took place nationally as well as internationally.
